About Us
The Buckshaw Village Community Assoication, or BVCA for short, is a 100% voluntary organisation formed in 2008 and was originally set up to develop community spirit on the village as well as help solve some of the problems Buckshaw encounters.
Buckshaw is not only unique in its size (it’s the largest new development in Europe) but in its political landscape also; there are 2 MP’s, 2 borough councils, 3 parish’s, 2 county councillors, 4 borough council wards & currently, 7 developers on the village – this causes all sorts of conflicting problems.
The BVCA is the only organisation that represents the whole of Buckshaw and is not commercially, politically, religiously or otherwise affiliated – our main focus is the Buckshaw residents. We pride ourselves on our connection to the community; the executive Committee is made up entirely of residents.
We regularly poll the village and take suggestions, enquiries and feedback direct from residents at our events, through our website and also via the BVCA forum. If you wish to contact the BVCA please click here.
