How can I found out what classes are run at the Community Centre?
View the Community Centre Class Timetable here. Please note we aim to make sure this timetable is always up to date. Whilst we’ve taken every effort in the preparation of this timetable, BVCA/RMG cannot accept any liability arising from inaccuracies, amendments or changes. Changes may be made to the details shown without prior notice. The details shown are for guidance – we would advise customers to check with the individual event/class provider before attending to confirm.
What facilities are on offer at the community centre?
The centre comprises a large main hall with a raised stage area, as well as a separate meeting room and kitchen. The main hall has seating capacity for 200 people, while the meeting room has a seating capacity for 24 people. Equipment available includes a PA system, free highspeed WiFi and a variety of sports equipment etc. There is also a centre managers office in the building as well as a self contained room currently let by Hillcrest Animal Hospital offering veterinary treatments and advice - click here to visit their website.
The hall and meeting room is available to hire for groups, organisations, businesses and also for private hire.
How do I book?
Bookings are taken and organised by Envirocare who can be contacted on 01772 623969 or via the Community Centre website - www.bookbuckshaw.com . Each user agrees to terms and conditions for hire of the premises and these can be viewed here. More information is available at www.bookbuckshaw.com
Who owns the community centre?
The community centre is owned by Redrow & Barratt who built the centre for local residents, however, the cost of maintenance of the centre falls to Buckshaw homeowners as part of their annual service charge. The BVMCL employ RMG to administer the community centre financially, legally etc , and RMG in turn employ Envirocare to manage day-to-day community centre activities. For more information on the service charge, click here.
Who manages the community centre?
The community centre is managed by the Community Centre Management Group which is comprised of RMG, Envirocare and a group of Buckshaw Village residents. Given the way community amenities are funded on Buckshaw; the lease for the community centre states that RMG must work with a group of residents to develop and sustain the centre’s amenities – the BVCA are the current group of residents fulfilling this responsibility. If you would like to raise anything for the BVCA to raise at this meeting please contact us here.
I am a user of the Community Centre, how do I raise a query/suggestion?
RMG welcome feedback and input from users of the centre. Please send all queries or suggestions to Danielle Twittey, Property Manager, RMG at danielle.twittey@rmg.gb.com or in the office, 0845 002 4444.
