The BVCA welcomes all residents to our next residents meeting on Tuesday 6^th September from 7pm. Our main guest speakers include the Buckshaw Parkway Railway Team with opening announcements and also a focus on Buckshaw Broadband with long awaited, exciting updates from Boundless Communication & an update from BT Internet.

Buckshaw Village Community Centre has announced due to its continued success it will be investing in new equipment to help the users of the facilities. The community centre opened its doors in July 2010 and has had a successful year hosting a range of events from regular farmer’s markets, dance classes and weight loss sessions. The investment in new equipped follows a survey carried out by the Community Centre, in association with the Buckshaw Village Community Association (BVCA), of regular users of the centre. The users of the centre were asked to provide feedback on how the centre is run, the cost of hiring the facilities and for any additional equipment they think the centre should provide. A shortlist is now being drawn up and the management team hope to start purchasing the new equipment this autumn. Kaye Davies, the chair of the Buckshaw Village Community Association said “This is a wonderful announcement not just for the centre and its regular users but for all the residents of Buckshaw Village, this investment should allow the centre to attract more organisations and clubs to the village which can only benefit the residents. A new bus route linking Buckshaw Village to Chorley has been announced.  The route will launch on 4th September, the new no.10 service will operate Monday to Saturday.  The new no.10 service operated by Stage Coach will link Buckshaw Village, Chorley, Astley Village and Chorley Tesco from 7am to 7pm.  The full timetable for the service is available online at: http://www.stagecoachbus.com/localdefault.aspx?Tag=Lancaster or by calling 01257 267728.
