A big thanks to all residents, locals and community groups that helped out today! Wonderful to see community spirit like this!
Residents, local community groups and local businesses are set to tackle the issue of litter on parts of the village that are yet to be adopted by RMG or the council. The Tesco Community Champion Georgina Nash, working closely with Chorley Borough Council, is co-ordinating efforts from the local community to tackle the issue. A litter pick has been arranged on the village and already people are voicing their support for the issue including the local Church. The litter pick will take place on Saturday 18th February between 13:00 - 15:00, residents wishing to take part should meet by the front of Tesco Buckshaw and volunteers will be pleased to know their hard work will be rewarded with some free refreshments.

BVCA have received an increased amount of enquiries lately into the availability of places at Buckshaw Trinity Primary School. One of the major selling points for the village is the sense of community on Buckshaw and particularly the village amenities including sports pitches, community centre, nursery and of course, Buckshaw Trinity Primary School.
BVCA chair, Kaye Davies is pleased to announce that Gary Woods has been co-opted onto the Buckshaw Village Community Association’s Committee. As a brand new member of the Buckshaw community, Gary brings a unique viewpoint to the Committee which will be a great advantage to the BVCA when making key decisions about our activities.
